Too often, we create expectations from people we only know in a peripheral sense. We put them into a pedestal, glorify them, worship them. And then we see that the person we created from that small sense is a whole different person than the real one. We think they changed; we are broken-hearted. But that person we loved and worshiped never really existed. Our expectations and imaginations are what broke our hearts.
