I love fiber-rich food. They nourish you and they are really great for people who don't eat that much.
A few months ago, my Japanese students recommended 'wakame' seaweeds to me. Aside from being fiber-rich, it also contains minerals that could help me deal with my anemia.
I was able to go out last Saturday to finally buy the seaweed from the Asian aisle at the supermarket.
Here is the seaweed package.
My students advised me to soak the seaweed in water before eating. It is dehydrated so it makes sense to rehydrate it.
Look at how thin it looked like!
And this is what happens after thirty minutes of soaking.
You can then cut them into strips and mix them with salad dressing or anything you like for the taste. As for me, I personally suggest a bit of fish sauce and lime.
This is very good for those who want to lose weight or just looking for new healthy dishes to try. Wakame is also used as a soup base in Japanese cuisine.
